One tagline reads, "They came home to bury their mom ... and her killer."
This would be an adequate description of filmmaker John Singleton's
crime-action drama "Four Brothers" from Paramount Pictures, opening August
12.

Evelyn Mercer (Fionnula Flanagan of "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya
Sisterhood") was the saintly, street-wise, white-haired woman who provided
shelter for the needy and often the wayward in her cozy Detroit home. Four
of the boys for whom she provided care and adopted became closer than
brothers, despite their respective ethnic backgrounds.
