Fed: King Kong set to be summer monster hit

SYDNEY, Dec 8 AAP - With the release of Peter Jackson's much-hyped King Kong less than
a week away, early reviews are pointing to a massive summer hit.

"One of the finest adventure movies ever made and the true prototype for all monster
movies to follow," wrote Scott Weinberg of online site DVD Clinic.

"King Kong is, even after 83 years, still the one true ruler of high-end escapist cinema."

King Kong runs for more than three hours and stars Australian Naomi Watts alongside
