Voters cast their ballots Sunday in presidential elections in oil-rich Gabon, where Africa's longest-serving leader was expected to win another term and head into a fourth decade of power.

Voting booths were open from dawn till dusk and election workers began counting votes after dark as scheduled. Omar Bongo, who has ruled for almost 38 years, facing a splintered opposition and was expected to win another seven-year term.
