AFL: Murphy brings a ray of sunshine to Blues

MELBOURNE, Nov 26 AAP - Carlton coach Denis Pagan forecast "blue skies ahead" for the
AFL wooden spooner after recruiting midfielder Marc Murphy with the No.1 pick in today's
national draft.

"Carlton have just been through the bleakest period in their life, but we hope today
is a significant day in the rebuilding of the Carlton Football Club," Pagan said of the
Blues' draft haul.

In addition to widely anticipated top choice Murphy, Carlton picked up tall marking
