NSW: 'Giant of trade union movement', John Ducker, dies at 73

SYDNEY, Nov 25 AAP - The former secretary of the NSW Labor Council, John Ducker, has
died aged 73.

Mr Ducker also served as president of the NSW Branch of the Australian Labor Party
for nine years and as vice president of the ACTU.

A member of the NSW Legislative Council from 1972 to 1979, he was awarded the Officer
of the Order of Australia in 1979.

Mr Ducker would be remembered as one of the giants of the trade union movement, Unions
NSW secretary John Robertson said today.
