Crik: New Cricket Australia chairman announced

SYDNEY, Oct 21 AAP - New Cricket Australia chairman Creagh O'Connor aims to make cricket
the most popular sport in the country.

O'Connor, who was elected to the post today, said implementing Cricket Australia's
recently finalised strategic plan was a priority for the national body.

Some of the body's key aims are to increase the sport's popularity with Indigenous
Australians and protect "the spirit of cricket".
