A FUNGUS commonly known as green muscardine holds promise as the fastest,

safest and most thorough termite eliminator developed thus far.
Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia entomologist Dr Ahmad Said Sajap said

that under laboratory conditions, entire termite populations were found

to be wiped out within three to seven days after exposure to the fungus.

Scientifically named Metarhizium anisopliae, green muscardine is known

to infect over 200 types of insects.
