The Rt. Rev. T. Larry Kirkland Sr. spoke to a SRO audience at Ward AME
Church, 1177 W. 25th St., on July 31. The members of Ward along with
friends and former parishioners of Bishop Kirkland, gave him an arousing
welcome.

Speaking on "Making it Through the Valley," Bishop Kirkland told the
waiting audience after reading the 23rd Psalms, "I love the Psalms. Living
on the Andreas Fault, you need the 27th Psalms.

"When evil folks are progressing and the righteous people are faulting,
read Psalms 37. There should be noise in the church, shouting and ...
