When you think of rock and roll today, chances are you have images of
whites playing a loud guitar, screaming into the microphone or jumping
around on stage. However, long before white culture took over rock music,
Blacks were creating the genre.

The invention of rock and roll is credited to Chuck Berry in 1955. While
others have made claim to be the first to play the style, Berry is widely
accepted due to his unmatched guitar style and song writing which is the
building block for any traditional rock and roll tune.
