Fed: No new grounds to charge Hicks in Aust, says Ruddock

Attorney-General PHILIP RUDDOCK says new legal opinion that Australian Guantanamo Bay
detainee DAVID HICKS could be tried under Australian law brings nothing new to the issue.

HICKS has been held at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba for three and a half years after being
captured alongside Taliban fighters in Afghanistan in late 2001.
