There's encouraging news about colorectal (commonly referred to as colon)
cancer. The third most common cause of cancer death in both men and women
the U.S. (10 percent of all cancers) is largely preventable.

Although colon cancer can be prevented through testing and is highly
treatable if detected early, too few people take advantage of lifesaving
testing options.

The American Cancer Society estimates that this year, 145,290 Americans
will be diagnosed with colon cancer and 56,290 will die of the disease, a
number that could be cut in half if Americans followed ...
