Vic: "Prince" of Ponderosa wrote letter to "devil" in ATO

A Victorian court has heard that a self-proclaimed prince declared his family farm
an independent kingdom in an attempt to distance himself from the laws of Australia.

The Rigoli family named their property near Shepparton in Victoria's north the Principality
of Ponderosa, arguing it wasn't part of Australia and didn't need to pay tax.
