Ten: Wimbledon champion Williams set for Russian test
MOSCOW, July 8 AFP - Wimbledon champion Venus Williams faces a tough weekend when she
takes on Fed Cup champions Russia for a place in this season's finals.
World No.1 Lindsay Davenport has pulled out of the semi-final because of a back injury,
leaving Mashona Washington as the second ranked American singles player.
Williams, who has 12-1 win-loss record in the Fed Cup, faces last year's French Open
winner Anastasia Myskina and Elena Dementieva, who played in two Grand Slam finals last
season.
