HAFIZ Hashim got a timely boost ahead of next month's World Championships
in Anaheim, California when he toppled title holder Xia Xuanze of China
in the Malaysia Open at the Kuala Lumpur BA (KLBA) Stadium in Cheras
yesterday.
Hafiz, the World No 6, was all business when he won the first game
15-12, and then moved up several notches in the second and did not allow
his opponent a single point winning 15-0. The match lasted just 40
minutes.
