Monday, July 4, 2005 -- Labor Party deputy director-general Avi Bitzur began court proceedings Sunday to sue former prime minister Ehud Barak for NIS 500,000 for slander, said Tom Wegner, spokesman for MK Amir Peretz's headquarters. Bitzur was previously director-general of Peretz's Am Ehad party.
