Fed: Primary schools call for greater recognition

CANBERRA, June 28 AAP - Australia's primary school principals and parent bodies have
accused state and federal governments of failing to give the sector appropriate recognition.

At a national conference in Canberra today, about 400 delegates of the Australian Primary
Principals Association (APPA) joined public and private peak parent bodies to call for
a new deal for primary education.
