Across the Potomac River from Washington, DC, today, President Bush laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington National Cemetery. This is one of the most solemn national traditions of Memorial Day, when Americans honor the war dead. The president spoke shortly after the ceremony.
