Since he can't rely on his defense, manager Juergen Klinsmann will be hoping his attack remains prolific when Germany plays Tunisia in the Confederations Cup on Saturday.

If Germany beats the African champion, Klinsmann's team will be sure of a place in the semifinals, the minimum goal it set before the eight-nation tournament opened on Wednesday.

Tunisia lost to Argentina 2-1 in its opener, and needs a win to stay alive in Group A, where the South Americans are the other favorites to reach the semis.
