(The Daily Iowan) (U-WIRE) IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Upon arriving at Don Gurnett's office, visitors are greeted by pictures of various NASA spacecraft with University of Iowa instruments on board. A cassette player echoes haunting space sounds gathered by UI instruments. Gurnett points out with pride that both the pictures and sounds are ones that he and the UI physics/astronomy department were responsible for.
