Fed: GG's staff protest may have won them a pay rise

A Canberra protest by staff working for Governor-General MICHAEL JEFFERY may have won
them a pay rise today.

In a Government House first, around 40 workers staged a protest outside the compound
to get pay parity with their colleagues across the public service.

Trays of cucumber sandwiches awaited about them at midday when they emerged from their workplace.
