Vic: Bracks says Vic could benefit from SA destroyer contract
MELBOURNE, June 1 AAP - Victoria could still be a winner from the $6 billion navy destroyer
contract despite the federal government awarding it to South Australia, Victorian Premier
Steve Bracks says.
Mr Bracks today said legislation would be introduced into state parliament to ensure
Tenix's Williamstown site would remain a shipyard.
He said Tenix would focus on winning other defence contracts, and a large slice of
the 70 per cent of work involved in building the three 6,000-tonne ...
