After 27 years, the band that helped pioneer smooth jazz is still jamming

The dream just keeps rolling.

Philadelphia's own "Pieces of a Dream," that is.

The jazz group is still jamming after 27 years in the music industry,
which, to their manager Daniel Harmon, is a blessing.

The name "Pieces of a Dream," was inspired by Stanley Turrentine's song,
titled "Pieces of Dreams," according to the group's Web site.

The late Grover Washington Jr. was the man behind the scenes helping the
group make the transition to a more smooth jazz sound.
