KUALA LUMPUR, Sun. - A branch of famed Chinese admiral Cheng Ho's
descendants has been found in Chiang Mai, Thailand, claims a Malaysian
socio-anthropologist.
The Thai branch of the family, established by Cheng Ho's
19th-generation grandson, Zheng Chong Lin, was set up in the 1890s, but
had been lost in history until now, said anthropologist Rosey Ma.
The discovery of the 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd generation descendants,
made late last month, came about by chance, ...
