Cycle: Di Luca wins Giro fifth stage

L'AQUILA, Italy, May 12 AFP - Italy's Danilo Di Luca won the fifth stage of the Giro
d'Italia on Thursday, claiming the leader's pink jersey in the process.

Di Luca won at a 1,300m-high summit finish for his second stage win of the race just
two days after winning at Giffoni Valle Piana. In the final 50 metres he got the better
of Italian Marzio Bruseghin.

Third spot went to Colombia's Mauricio Ardila, two seconds back, with Belgian Bjorn
Leukemans and Italians Ivan Basso and Damiano Cunego further behind.
