Fed: Group holding Wood condone killing of non-believers: guide

SYDNEY, May 6 AAP - The Iraqi group holding Australian Douglas Wood are believed to
be Salafists, radical Islamics who condone the killing of non-believers in the name of
purifying their faith.

Iraq intermediary Sheik Hassan Zadaan has told Fairfax journalist Paul McGeough the
group are Salafists and described them as "very difficult people".

Notorious Iraqi terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and his followers are members
of the Salafist movement, Islamic experts say.
