MODERN day travel has become increasingly easier and more affordable,
allowing mountain climbers to attain breathtaking heights, skiers to
negotiate lofty, snow-covered slopes here and abroad, or tourists to enjoy
the panoramic view from atop some of the most beautiful spots in our
national parks, as well as the world's tallest mountains.
