Paolucci Receives Translation Incentive Award from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Selected Poems of Giacomo Leopardi

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has chosen Selected Poems of
Giacomo Leopardi, by Comm. Anne Paolucci, for its 2004 translation
initiative prize. The prize is given to promote the translation of Italian
literary and scientific works abroad and carries a cash award, in this
case, of E.4,000. The presentation ceremony will take place in New York
City.

The 153-page book, published by Griffon House Publications, carries both
the original and the translated texts, as well as prose excerpts drawn from
Leopardi's notebooks, journals, and letters that provide welcome ...
