Hock: Comeback man Brennan retires

SYDNEY, March 24 AAP - Australian hockey star Michael Brennan has retired from the
sport for the second and final time.

Brennan, 29, announced his retirement from both international and national hockey competition
to pursue a new career direction.

One of the quickest and most dangerous players in the world, Brennan shocked everybody
with his retirement announcement in 2001.

But two years later he returned to the sport with a renewed passion leading to a fitting
