Dean Velentgas operated the Dean Velentgas Gallery on Hampshire Street in Portland in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The gallery was dedicated to showing new artists, many of whom went on to become noted in their fields.
Velentgas has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Sixteen of the artists he exhibited in his former gallery are showing works made especially for a tribute for Velentgas at June Fitzpatrick ...
