Fed: Howard satisfied with Gallipoli road works

CANBERRA, March 11 AAP - Prime Minister John Howard today said he was satisfied with
the way controversial road works at Gallipoli were being handled.

There were fears the road works had unearthed the remains of Australian soldiers, but
Turkish authorities and the Australian government said no remains had been disturbed.

Mr Howard said his government asked for work to be done on one of the roads to Anzac
Cove to make it safer for the increasing number of people visiting the site.
