A thirteen-inch-high Armenian religious chalice, made of gold and layers of
filigreed silver, was abruptly removed from items placed on E-Bay auction
last month and will presumably be returned to its owners, the St. James
Brotherhood of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
The chalice was apparently removed from the Patriarchate in early 1960 by
some unscrupulous clergymen, who planned to enrich themselves by...
