WA: Firefighters mop up after deliberately lit blaze

PERTH, Feb 17 AAP - Firefighters are mopping up after a deliberately lit blaze that
burnt across 300 hectares of land in Perth's south-east.

An arsonist is suspected to have lit the fire in the Roleystone/Araluen area in extreme
temperatures on Tuesday afternoon.

The fire burnt to within metres of homes at its peak on Tuesday night and has been
contained, but is still burning in some remote, inaccessible areas, Fire and Emergency
Services Authority (FESA) spokesman Bill Rose said today.
