I WAS quite concerned to know from "Bits of history up for online sale" (NST, Feb 13) that a sword which was a gift from King Chulalongkorn, Rama V (1868-1910) of Thailand to Sultan Zainal Abidin III (1881-1918) of Terengganu is being put up for sale for RM100,000 by Zahrom from Terengganu.

The sword should be considered a state treasure and the Terengganu Government should acquire it for the State Museum.
