Fed: Nelson must come clean on spending splurge - Labor

CANBERRA, Feb 16 AAP - Federal Education Minister Brendan Nelson was big on partying
but low on accountability, Labor said today.

Figures from Senate estimates yesterday showed Dr Nelson's Education Department spent
$70,508 on corporate hospitality and entertainment in 2001-02.

The figure jumped by $135,596 in 2002-03 to $206,104. In 2003-04, it reached $256,205
and in the six months to December, $103,187 was spent.
