WA: Racing industry to get $42 million
PERTH, Feb 11 AAP - Western Australia's racing industry would receive a $42 million
boost if Labor was re-elected, Premier Geoff Gallop said today.
Dr Gallop, who travelled to Kalgoorlie, 600km east of Perth, for today's announcement,
said the new racing plan was focused on a strong and growing racing industry in the state.
Under the plan, the government would reduce the level of taxation on the racing industry,
and tax gross profit rather than turnover.
