Jesus Christ had to be both human and divine

As we approach Christmas this coming weekend, we have to take note of the
reason for the holiday. I know it is so much easier to be politically
correct and pretend it is a secular celebration of whatever empties our
pockets this Dec.
Yet the meaning does not have to be purely Christian in order for us to
realize the lesson of the Christ in our lives. After all, Jesus Christ is a
metaphor with one foot on the common day and the other on the infinite.
That by itself is a powerful lesson on how we should view, as believers,
the things beyond ourselves.
