An Evening of Stars; A Tribute to Quincy Jones

The general consensus within and outside of the music industry is that the
United Negro College Fund (UNCF) could not have picked a more appropriate
person to honor at this year's "An Evening of Stars" than band leader,
producer, arranger, songwriter, recording artist extraordinaire Quincy
Jones.
"An Evening of Stars - Tribute to Quincy Jones," a four-hour special, will
air on Saturday, Jan. 8, on UPN 50/WKBD. Since its 1979 inception, the
pledge special has raised nearly $200 million to help deserving students
gain access to higher education and, thus, enhance their ...
