Klagenfurt's stadium secured for Euro 2008

The governor of Austria's southwestern province of Carinthia said Thursday he has reached an agreement with Euro 2008 officials and Klagenfurt's mayor to build a new soccer stadium in time for the tournament.

Carinthia governor Joerg Haider, Klagenfurt Mayor Harald Scheucher and Austrian Soccer Association President Friedrich Stickler agreed "to strongly cooperate in the future and do everything necessary to be ready in 2008," Haider said.
