The music and sports worlds connect, even collide, in this closet of an
office at WGBH in Allston that overlooks a wide swath of Harvard's playing
fields. Seated at his worn, metal desk amidst piles of CDs of traditional
Gaelic music and an assortment of books on Irish culture stacked as if they
were playing cards, Brian O'Donovan, host of WGBH-FM's A Celtic Sojourn,
removes a set of earphones from his head as if he were prying off a
football helmet.
