Thursday, December 30, 2004 -- A group of Israeli antiquity forgers not only tried to embezzle millions of dollars from unsuspecting antiquities collectors, but also tried to distort historical facts of great religious and emotional importance to Christians and Jews worldwide, the police and the Antiquities Authority charged on Wednesday.
