Sunday, December 26, 2004 -- It now looks like a new Israeli cabinet will not be formed until early next year, when Labor and Agudat Israel join Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's Likud-led government.
Despite war, the prospect of renewed dialogue with the enemy, and domestic social tensions, Israel's political system has failed to provide its citizens with a modicum of unity and stability - hence the need for yet another coalition.
