Larionov stars in Russian farewell exhibition game to cap two-decade hockey career

Russian NHL veteran Igor Larionov capped a hockey career spanning more than two decades with a farewell exhibition game Monday that brought together a number of his locked-out colleagues from the Detroit Red Wings along with other former teammates.

New Jersey Devils center Larionov, who turned 44 on Dec. 3, announced his retirement after the Philadelphia Flyers ousted the defending champions Devils in the opening round of the playoffs in April. He was the oldest player to compete in the NHL last season.
