WASHINGTON - The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced
on Sept. 15 their selections for the 2004 Kennedy Center Honors. The
recipients of the 27th annual national celebration of the arts include
husband and wife actors, writers and producers Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee,
singer and composer Elton John, soprano Joan Sutherland, composer and
conductor John Williams and actor, director, producer and writer Warren
Beatty.
