Petronas pipelines leaked oil off Labuan

KOTA KINABALU, Thurs. - Two leaks in the pipeline connecting Petronas' Semarang platform and the Labuan crude oil terminal were the cause of the oil slick detected off Labuan on Monday.

Labuan Corporation chief executive officer Abidin Arshad, chairing a committee to investigate the oil slick, said the leaks, about two kilometres from Kiamsam beach, had been plugged.
