Victorines. The canons regular of the former abbey of St-Victor at Paris. The house was founded by William of Cham-peaux and built in 1113. The Victorines numbered among their ranks famous scholars, mystics, and poets, including Adam of St-Victor, Hugh of St-Victor, Richard of St-Victor, and Walter of St-Victor.
