Old Syriac Version. The Syriac translation of the NT which circulated in the Syriac-speaking Church before the construction of the
Peshitta version in the 5th cent. Only two MSS are known, both of the Gospels, but the existence of a Syriac text of Acts is attested by a commentary on it.
