Extravagantes. The term, at one time applied to certain officially recognized Papal decretals which were not included in the ‘Decretum’ of Gratian (‘extra decretum vagantes’), is now used almost exclusively of the two concluding sections of the Corpus Iuris Canonici (q.v.).
