power The power of God was shown in nature (Jer. 10: 12) and in the workings of history (Exod. 15: 6). In the NT it was manifest in Jesus' healings (Mark 6: 2), in the descent of the Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 1: 8), and in the apostolic preaching of the gospel (Rom. 1: 16).
