Mach illusion

Mach illusion n. A visual illusion consisting of an ambiguous line drawing of a folded sheet of paper. See also ambiguous figure.[Named after the Austrian physicist, philosopher, and psychologist Ernst Mach (1838–1916) who published it in 1866]
