directivity

directivity The ratio of the maximum sensitivity of an antenna to its average sensitivity. Directivity is proportional to the effective aperture of the antenna and inversely proportional to the square of the wavelength. Where there are no losses in the antenna, the directivity is equal to the gain over an isotropic antenna.
